Home from Home and Stellumthombo, two Stellenbosch based NGOs running programmes for vulnerable children, have collectively received R100,000 raised by local StreetSmart partners to boost community upliftment in the area.

The StreetSmart funds were handed over at an event held at Roosenwijn Guest House.

StreetSmart SA, an organisation dedicated to helping street children rebuild their lives through donations from partner establishments in the Western Cape, Garden Route, Gauteng and KZN, has handed over R540 000 to their Cape Town beneficiaries for 2018. This is part of an allocation of over R1 million raised nationally for the fourth consecutive year by StreetSmart SA with the balance to be distributed in the other regions this month.  

StreetSmart SA, an organisation dedicated to helping street children rebuild their lives through donations from partner establishments in Gauteng, the Western Cape, Garden Route and KZN, has handed over R15 000 to their Pretoria beneficiary, PEN Projects, for 2018. This is part of an allocation of over R1 million raised nationally for the fourth consecutive year by StreetSmart SA with the balance to be distributed in the other regions this month.  

StreetSmart SA, an organisation dedicated to helping street children and children at risk of living on the streets rebuild their lives through donations from partner establishments in Gauteng, the Western Cape, Garden Route and KZN, has handed R30 000 to their Johannesburg beneficiary, Kids Haven. This is part of an allocation of over R1 million raised nationally for the fourth consecutive year by StreetSmart SA with the balance to be distributed in the other regions this month.  

The Kusasa Project, a Franschhoek NGO addressing educational needs of disadvantaged children, has received R150 000 raised through local StreetSmart partners to boost community upliftment in the area.

The StreetSmart funds were handed over at an event held at Franschhoek Country House.

Katlego’s mother moved to Pretoria after running away from a family feud in the Eastern Cape. She sought refuge in a home that provided sleeping facilities for destitute mothers in the inner city. This arrangement worked well for Katlego, his two siblings and his mother until Katlego turned seventeen.
