New signage makes StreetSmart restaurants easier to find #EatOutHelpOut
Making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children R5 at a time just got easier with new prominent StreetSmart signage allowing participating restaurants to promote their support more visibly, helping diners to eat out more responsibly.

Back by popular demand at the Labia Theatre is the intimate drama, The Way, starring Martin Sheen, and the inspiringly beautiful travelogue, Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago. Both films are set on the famous Camino de Santiago in Spain, which draws people from all over the world on an epic pilgrimage every year, and will also be featured for a further two screenings in aid of StreetSmart SA at 13h45 on Saturday, 06 May and at 16h00 on Sunday 07 May 2017.
Kareem is currently in year 4 in the Automotive Body Repairs Workshop. He arrived three and a half years ago at Learn to Live under the influence of marijuana and for most of that year he struggled with this cannabis drug. He is living with his grandmother, who raised him since birth. He was involved in gangsterism at some stage, but the staff at Learn to Live have managed to convince him that he has a better future.

Last year, StreetSmart restaurants and their diners raised over R1 million nationally. The Top 5 Contributing restaurants were:
StreetSmart SA has handed over R50 000 to their Plettenberg Bay beneficiary, Masizame Projects, for 2017. This is part of an allocation of over R1 million raised nationally for the third consecutive year by StreetSmart SA for beneficiaries in the various regions.
